[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Power consumption of memory chips

leverich@randvax.UUCP (Brian Leverich) (02/13/90)

Does anyone have the right manuals to tell me how the power consumption
of a generic 41256-10 compares with a 411000-10?

Just want to know how power-hungry the little beasties are. Tnx. -B

From my Toshiba MOS Memory book:

41256-10 consumes 440 mW max.
411000-10 consumes 2,640 mW max.

This book is a bit over a year old, so newer models might be thriftier.
Your mileage, of course, may vary. :-)
