I'm trying to gather details about a very old movie. I saw this movie on TV when I was around 13 (1968) and I remember that I really liked it at the time. For some strange reason Iv'e been thinking about this movie lately and I think I'd like to see it again. Unfortunately I don't remember too much about it, but here's a summary of what I do remember. I believe the title was "I'll Never Forget You". It was about some guy who wakes up one mourning and finds himself in 18th century England (pre-revolutionary war). I also seem to recall that he wanted to be there for some reason, but I'm not sure. Anyway, It turns out that he had a look-alike ancester liveing in this time so everyone thinks that he's his ancester. This ancester is an American cousin to the Englishmen. What has happend is that this guy and his ancester have changed places. After awhile all of his English realitives start to think he's strange because he's always talking about all of the great things the wourld will have someday (steamships, telephones, etc.). It turns out that he's supposed to be engaged or promished to a distant English cousin. But he doesn't like her much and instead falls in love with some other girl in the story. She eventually learns who he really is. Eventually his English realitives are convinced that he is mad and try to do something about him (kill him, commit him, or something along those lines). Anyway he gets knocked out and wakes up back in his own time. He learns from a friend that everyone believed he had lost his mind the past few weeks. The guy then goes to a grave yard and finds the tombstone of his 18th century love. On it are the words "I'll never forget you", or something similar to that. Does anyone else remember this movie? I'm trying to find out the usual stuff. Who were the actors, more plot details, and so on. All information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance John V. Smith BTL - Naperville Ill.
