I've hit a minor problem in working with Microsoft Quickbasic: there doesn't seem to be any reliable way to recognize the shifted and ctrl-ed arrow keys from a program. The shifted keypad arrows certainly can't be adequately allowed for by reading them as numbers (eg shift left arrow, get back its num lock equivalent), since I need to be able to *read* numbers! Any ideas? I can do without this if absolutely necessary, but it's pretty awful con- sidering how intuitive "arrow, shifted- arrow, control- arrow" is as a progression in terms of cursor speed. Am I gonna have to call DOS to get these? Hoo boy. (-: CRANBERRIES! ALBUQUERQUE! This is the start of the end of the beginning of the middle of the last day of the first part of your life!
