CDC used to be a computer company -- the full name is "Control Data Corporation" -- and they used to make some mighty fine disk drives. Now I think they've gone the way of most American industrial firms, they own things and sell financial services and stuff, but don't seem to make anything, best I can tell. As part of the process of stopping being a computer company they sold their disk drive division. They gave it a name just before they put it on the market -- they called it "Imprimis". Seagate bought Imprimis. Hope that helps. -- Steve Nuchia South Coast Computing Services (713) 964-2462 "You have no scars on your face, and you cannot handle pressure." - Billy Joel
