Arrrrrgh!

CDC used to be a computer company -- the full name is "Control Data
Corporation" -- and they used to make some mighty fine disk drives.
Now I think they've gone the way of most American industrial firms,
they own things and sell financial services and stuff, but don't
seem to make anything, best I can tell.

As part of the process of stopping being a computer company they
sold their disk drive division.  They gave it a name just before
they put it on the market -- they called it "Imprimis".  Seagate
bought Imprimis.  Hope that helps.
