[net.movies] Peter Weir film

Peter Weir fans:

I too, am a fan of Australian film and directors, especially
Peter Weir. You might be interested to know that Peter directed
a low budget horror film that has become a cult classic in certain
parts of this country. The film is titled "The Cars that Eat People"
and the ads show a person being devoured by a spiked VW with
the caption, "This is the night the cars take over!".
Interestingly enough, this film is never mentioned when examples
of Peter Weirs' work are listed. I suppose it is similar to 
Jane Fonda not going out of her way to mention she starred in
"Barbarella".
