So far I haven't seen many reviews on "Lovesick" perhaps it's because it's one of those movies that falls inbetween the categories of outstanding and disgusting. This, like his two previous films ( '10' & 'Arthur' ), portrays Dudley Moore as a slapstick 'upper classite' chasing and stumbling after an attractive female. Dudley again is delightfully amusing although the humour now is beginning to wear a little. His antics don't seem to be totally original but if you like his style then you'll probably enjoy the movie. The story is weak and how Alec Guinnes agreed to play Freud I don't know although his two funny lines were delivered with true Guinnes class. Overall, however, the movie is light and entertaining, the problem is that these days it has to be something rather special for it to have been worth the $4.50. Personally I would rather have waited until it appeared on cable. There now, does that make yo want to see it or not ? Martin Studd. houti!ms
