I'm looking for pointers to a memory testing program that can be looped to run indefinitely- I have several machines here with the occasional dreaded `parity check' error. These errors are hard to find because they're transient. Ideally the program should tell where it found the error to aid in pinpointing the chip that's upset. I assume IBM itself has something on their diags disks of version three or so, but I don't have anything that smart. I can ftp, and am wondering if something like this is available. Please respond by e-mail with a quick note if you've beaten this problem; it'd be appreciated! Thanks. --------------------------\ /----------------------------------------------- INTERNET:tindle@ms.uky.edu | "Could you please continue the petty bickering? I had intermittent errors in extended memory that only affected my disk caching software. They never showed up in the power on self test. I finally bought a copy of Check-It which does indeed detect the error. If you search diligently you can get it for $100 or less.
