How does one go about turning extended mnemory on a PS/2 M70 into EMS so that other programs can use the memory? Are there any PD or shareware options? What are the good commercial options? If you could email as well as post, it'd be appreciated, as our feed on this group is sporadic. jas -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeffrey A. I'm not sure of public domain software, however I use Quarterdeck's Expanded Memory Manager (QEMM) that converts extended memory into expanded. I use it in conjunction with Desqview 2.26 and have had very good luck with it. All of the applications I have run (and there are a LOT of them) with QEMM have had no problems. QEMM Requires a 386. 386 To the Max is very popular too, however I haven't used it in its entirety. I have used ILIM386 (Intel's scaled down 386 to the Max program that's supplied with Microchannel Above Boards and Inboards) and it seems to work fine also. You might want to have a look around on the Intel BBS for more information. (503) 645-6275 (2400 Baud, N, 8, 1). I think there might be an ILIM386 for 386 Microchannel machines that might work without an Above Board. Go ahead and try it. -->Chris UUCP: ..tektronix!tessi!escargot!chrisb "I didn't like the Mercury Sable, Phone: (503) 644-3585 (Call anytime!) So I bought a Ford Taurus instead!"
