We're considering using C-SCAPE for a project that has user interfaces on both unix and DOS. The unix version we received has a lot of bugs (one of the demos core dumps!) and I was wondering whether C-SCAPE is worth pursuing or whether I should go by my first impression and find a different product. Thanks for any info you can give. -- -- Jack Dixon, AT&T { ...!att!vogon!jcd, jcd@vogon.att.com }

I recently saw someone asking about C-Scape, but haven't seen any replies. I too am interested in any comments one might have concerning this package. I'd be using it to incorporate pulldown menus and a help system in Hercules graphics and EGA 640x350 mode. I ordered their demo, but didn't see any graphics usage, and they didn't say what is was compatible with. I would be using it with TC 2.0 and Borlands BGI. I almost ordered Ithaca Street's Menuet windowing system until I realized it needed Metawindows - and extra $200! Does C-Scape require any other software to run? Right now it looks like a trade off between C-Scape and Panel-Plus. Panel Plus looks good and their demo uses BGI, but the cost is about $100 more. Anyways, if you have any info/comments on any of the above, let me know! -Dan wells@uop.edu
