Hello, I am trying to write a DOS stand alone program to do serial I/O out the COM1 port. I've written several subroutines in ASM to do polled COM1 stuff to interface to my Lattice "C" compiler but I want to get a program (in assembler) to install itself to handle IRQ requests to and from the COM1 port. I can successfully get it installed in the DOS ISR table but I have questions as to how you tell the interrupt controller that a character is ready to transmit. Any help or source listing's showing how this is done would be greatly appreciated. Please Email me any suggestions or comments. Thanx in advance. R.J. Drotleff
