"The Lamb" movie idea was canned a few years ago. I spoke with Steve Hackett at that time, and he said that Peter Gabriel, himself, and the three remaining members of Genesis were to reunite (temporarily) and re-record the album, but it just never came about. To quote Mr. Hackett; "The logistics of such a venture were insurmountable". If anyone can tell me exactly what that means, I'd appreciate it. William Friedkin ("The Exorcist", "The French Connection") was to direct, and Gabriel was going to audition for the part of Rael. It would have been very interesting, to say the least. The album "Duke" did indeed originally contain one side long piece. The songs "Behind the Lines", "Dutchess", "Guide Vocal", "Turn it on Again", "Dukes Travels", and "Dukes End" were all parts (as in "Supper's Ready") of one long composition simply entitled "Duke". For some reason though, they broke it up into seperate songs at the last minute. On that tour though ('80), they played "Duke" in it's original entirety. A real good show (as usual). Comments, Genesis fans? Thanx for listening... JR P.S. Would all you people out there in net-land wake up and write! I'm tired of reading the same old thing about 'should we have net.music.classical?' or 'why do you like M. Jackson?'. Is Mr. Rosen the only person that has 'postnews' or 'inews' on his system?
