Hi, I am wondering if anyone has a program which will manually put certain files in the boot record and tell the disk that it is now a bootable disk, i.e. along the same lines of SYS in the dos commands. Please note that I want a program which will put _ANY_ files I specify, i.e. not just IBMBIO.COM and IBMDOS.COM, or whatever. The reason is that I have a bootable disk with a strange booting mechanism on a 5.25 disk, and I would like to transfer it to a 3.5 floppy. But SYS ignores it (even when I lie to it and rename the files to IBMBIO.COM etc.) I can manually place them in the same place as the boot files (even contiguously), but it doesn't recognize them as being boot files. This would also be useful (for example) for changing the boot disk for my DOS 4.01 so that it can boot in a 3.5 drive instead of 5.25. (Of course you can _only_ install it from the original disk. Grrr). Please note again I am not looking for the SYS command - I know all about this. The closest I have come to this is using Norton (esp. NDD) but this still doesn't work. Help!!!!!!!!! Cheers, Matt.
