Does anyone out there have a TAR program for the PC that allows you to compress and decompress UNIX .TAR files? If so, could you please let me know how I can get ahold of it? Also, is there source code for this for the PC? Thanks! Bobby Li BITNET: TT3X@CRNLVAX5 INTERNET: TT3X@VAX5.CIT.CORNELL.EDU INTERNET: LI#BOBBY%MFE.MFENET@ANLVM.CTD.ANL.GOV

Now, if I could work up a way for tar to prompt for replacement filenames... those Unix names just don't fit sometimes, and truncating to 8 characters isn't always the best solution. -- _R_o_y _M_. _S_i_l_v_e_r_n_a_i_l | UUCP: uunet!comcon!roy | "Every race must arrive at this #include <opinions.h>;#define opinions MINE | point in its history" SnailMail: P.O.
