   btw  I thought that Apple II floppy drives use GCR rather than MFM,
       and that the IBM controller / drives aren't capable of dealing
       with this form of data encoding.

It was a favorable review.

Their are restraints as to which brands of IBM floppy drives can be used.
And they are only given a 75% compatibility rating.  The ideal setup is to
use an external Apple floppy drive off the Trackstar board.

I did an article search on Compu$erve and came up with four extracts.  If
you would like to see these or get more info, send me Email.  I use and
sell Trackstar boards and they work great!  Especially being able to setup
a Prodos hard disk on your MS DOS hard disk.
