If you have the money (I think ~$200??), SURFER is a fairly easy to use gridding/contouring/surface plotting program. It's menu-driven and fairly user-friendly. It won't rotate a surface in "real-time", however. You must bring up a menu and specify rotation and viewpoint, then display/plot the output. For Info, Golden Software, Inc.
