I have an EMP 1200E baud modem that has been working fine but would really like a 2400 baud modem. Since my warranty is up and I'm feeling a little daring, I was wondering if there is some way to replace a chip or somthing inside my 1200 modem to turn it into a 2400 modem without doing any major rewiring or requiring an engineering degree. Any comments are welcome (ie. Can it be done? If yes, is it worth it? risky?)
