Hi all,
I'm looking to install a peer-to-peer network in an office with
10 PCs of varying ages. The main uses will be printer sharing and
unattended backups, with a certain amount of file sharing thrown
in. I've read a review of peer LANs in the November PC World, and
they loved LANtastic for price and performance and memory usage.
However, someone responded to my earlier question about tape
backup systems of networks by saying that LANtastic was a pain to
work with. Has anyone else had experience with LANtastic or other
peer-to-peer networks? I've used TOPS on the Mac and haven't been
truly impressed, but have never tried any peer networks on the PC.
Comments will be extremely appreciated and a summary will be
forthcoming. Many thanks.
