I just got the April 1990 edition of Dr. Dobb's and found an ad that immediately caught my attention. Mark Williams Co is selling a "virtual clone of UNIX" for $99.95! It's a skinnied down UNIX with a 64K kernel and memory requirement of only 640K RAM and 10Meg disk. "Coherent can reside with DOS. So you can keep all your DOS applications and move up to Coherent... Coherent is a powerful multi-user, multi-tasking development system... Coherent comes with Lex and Yacc, a complete C compiler and a full set of nearly 200 Unix commands including text processing, program development, administrative and maintenance commands... and with UUCP. " This sounds too good to be true. Does anyone have experience with this product? I'm ready to send my money! -- ======================================================================== Gary L.
