Since there are a lot of interests, I summarize what I've found to make KERMIT work with COM3 and COM4. 1st: in KERMIT.DOC, there is a small program "setcom3.com" built from DEBUG. 2nd: in simtel20.arpa, "addport" under <msdos.sysutl> can be used to add port addresses to 40:00 area. I recommend this program. It is flexible and has source code with it. You can play with it and make KERMIT work with COM4 and up. Thanks for all who have replied to my query. X.
