[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Seagate ST-4096/ST-4144R Drives

wdarden@nrtc.nrtc.northrop.com (Bill Darden <wdarden>) (03/20/90)

Does anyone have the jumper settings (other than the drive select)
for the ST-4096 or ST-4144R? Apparently the 4144 uses a jumper in
one of the last positions next to J-1 (34 conductor control cable);
whereas the 4096 does not. I wonder if there is some significance
to this because I am running a 4096 on an Adapter 2070 (8 bit RLL)
contoller on my XT. It formatted out to 117MB.

Thanks in advance,

BiLL.....

   Try the Seagate Customer Assistance Line, 1-800-468-3472. I haven't
had the need to use it as yet, but their counterparts at Miniscribe have
bent over backwards to help out with thier products (no brick jokes,
please).
