A repost, I got no reply the last time, and our connection here has been somewhat flakey. Someone out there must have a WD1003-WA2 manual. Is there a way to support > 2 floppy drives on a single Western Digital WD1003-WA2 controller. The controller is installed in a Dell '286 box and currently has 2 5-1/4" drives on it. We want to a a 3-1/2" drive but would like to avoid having to buy another controller card. I can get the motor on the drive to turn when accessing drive "D" using a "driver.sys" device driver and playing with the drive select jumper on the disk drive (drive connected to the untwisted section of cable with an additional connector), but DOS returns a "Not Ready Error". I don't have documentation that describes the controller card so I was wondering if there wasn't some jumper I could move to make this thing sane. I'm not adverse to using an untwisted cable and correctly setting the drive select jumpers on each drive (as Shugart intended). Thanx in advance. -Jon Harleys don't leak oil (they just like to mark their spot)
