I have an original IBM AT, one of the 6MHz boxes, and I would like to upgrade it to a 386 via an expansion slot rather than replacing the mother board. I would appreciate any suggestions as to which upgrade board is best for this, and any success or horror stories anyone might have experienced on trying to do this type of upgrade...Oh yea...I have an AST Advantage board in the machine with 1.5meg of memory on it so what ever board I use needs to be compatible with this setup. Posting or Email responses are fine...Thanks... ...Robert .

Latest issue of PC Resource has a sidebar about 386 accelerator cards* (??) that replace the 286 chip. The article says that they are a bear to install. SOTA makes one, I forget the other one. Just got the issue of PC Resource in the mail today. Bob M. Penn State- Harrisburg.
