I've noticed the same things with files that I have. With my stuff,
files directly from the net, I get just a few bytes difference, like under
50. They still work properly.

I've been using LZEXE 0.91 (a .exe file compressor) and have had
good results, but programs compiled with Turbo-C 2.0 make LZEXE
print a warning message about overlays. Has anyone else noticed
this, or is is just my version of Turbo-C? LZEXE warns that the
actual executable code size is bigger than the "expected" size.
The discrepancy is usually fairly small -- about 4K for files
around 30K and up to 15K for files around 120K in size. I suspect
the problem is minor; perhaps Turbo-C does something funny or
non-standard with the .exe files. It's also possible that I've
inadvertantly told Turbo-C to muck with the executables, but I doubt it.

If you have a good explanation, let me know and I'll summarize
replies to the net.
