When I'm running Windows/286 version 2.0, I have six or seven fonts
available to the Windows Paint program. These appear to be simply the
fonts provided by the Windows package.
However, the rest of the Windows programs do not seem to have those fonts
available. Windows Write only has Courier 12 and Lineprinter 8. Even
my Aldus Pagemaker 3.0 only sees those same two fonts.
Further, Write won't even give the Italics version of the Courier 12 on the
screen, although it will give the bold version. Typing a word in italics
results in normal print appearing on the screen and normal print coming out
on the printer. (I have a Panasonic KX-P4450 laser). All of the fonts in
Paint have all of the styles available and print perfectly!
What's going on? Can't I get those other fonts working with Write, at least?
