A couple of years ago, I saw an ad for a touchscreen add-on to convert an existing monitor to a touchscreen monitor. Are these things still around? The monitor itself is to-be-spec'd; 12" or 14" or 19" EGA, etc. Any pointers would be appreciated. --- Ryan Gale UUCP: {hplabs!hp-sdd, sdcsvax, nosc}!crash!pnet01!rgale ARPA: crash!pnet01!rgale@nosc.mil INET: rgale@pnet01.CTS.COM

There are several alternatives. Carroll Touch Technology, Div. of AMP, has a variety of infrared touchscreen add-ons for various displays. I am looking for information on manufacturers of touch sensitive screens. I am aware of Carrol Touch and Personal Touch. I know there are others out there, including a company that manufactures capacitance touch screens for IBM. Also, does anyone have any experiences to relate, positive or negative, with the various technologies (led array, resistive overlay, capacitance) and the companies and the products they make? Thanks.

Someone recently told me that you could install touch screens on a normal monitor. Does anyone know where I can get one of these that would work with a 386 version of unix?
