I need help choosing an effective way to do PC (386) to host (Vax)
communication. At this point I'm interested in a serial interface
with full (or whatever will suffice) hardware handshake flow control.
I don't know at this point what the data will consist of so I'm
assuming Xon/Xoff will too limiting.
Who do you know (commercial vendor) sells a COM port driver that will
provide hardware handshake on COM1 or COM2 ports. The 386 system
runs DOS 3.2, and DESQview.
Ideally, I want to install the driver through config.sys .
I don't (I don't think so at this point) need an elaborate
communication package. Commercial-of-the-Self and simple are very
important.
I would appreciate some constructive feedback.
Thanks
