All, Our lab recently purchased a 3.5" drive made for a PS/2 25 (720K). It has a 40 (not 36) pin connector, and no power connector. Now, this may be normal for a PS/2, but an AT (XT) has a 36 pin connector and 4 pin power plug. Seems interesting that the two end lands (38 & 40) are labeled +5 and +12... Maybe (just maybe) they stuck the +5 & +12 on the end of a normal 36??? All of the odd (except for 35) are all connected, just like on a 5.25" drive. Can someone with the cable send them to me??? Direct mail is the best way! Also, if anyone has ever seen a Y-adapter to do this, that would be _much_ better and easier (unless it costs more than the drive!!), so let me know where you saw it!!! Again, please send directly to me if possible - I'll summarize what I found out / try (unless I die in the attempt :-) ) if people request it. Thanx for all of the help in advance. Opps - The AT cable is only 34 - sorry - so, they have an extra (unused?) pair than I thought... Question is still the same... James
