I am trying to assist an acquaintance with the following problem: He has a terminal in his office that is connected to a mini/mainframe computer somewhere. There is also an IBM printer being used as a slave printer off this terminal. This printer is a serial printer driven at 19,200 baud, 8 bit char, 1 stop bit, odd parity. He wants to also use this printer on his 386SX through a A/B switch. With the DOS MODE command, 9600 baud is the max that can be set. Can someone please offer me some advice, routines, etc. to change the COM1 port on the PC to 19.2 baud? He probably could change the baud rate on the printer using DIP switches but this would require getting into the printer every time he switched back and forth. Any help will be appreciated, via EMAIL or followup posting this news group. -- |-----------------------------------------------------------------------| |Glen Midkiff osu-cis!dsacg1!gmidkiff | |From the Internet: gmidkiff@dsac.dla.mil | |Phone: (614)-238-9643 @DLA, Systems Automation Center, Columbus, Oh. |
