One of the features I miss sorely when using (say) Turbo C is the ability to press a hotkey to have the screen saved somewhere (quick), change files, (or better, switch tasks!) and start editing, using the hotkey to flip between the current screen and the saved one. It has to be very fast, on machines with lotsa memory this hasn't been a problem, and I'd guess it shouldn't be too difficult on an AT. I've seen mention in this group of 'screen savers', but has anyone got a PD one like this? It'd be right dandy when porting software and entering the prototypes, which I prefer to keep in a separate file for large progs, though I'd still want something like it if they were only declared in the head of the same file. What? a PENCIL? Yukk! Any suggestions, offers, donations, dead wombats etc.. welcomed Thanx Dave E.
