The project I'm working on needs to change a few of the characters in the CGA charater ROM. Actually doing it is no problem, since the vendor of the machine has granted us permission and we have the facilities. Why don't we have the vendor do it? Well, the person who designed their CGA board has left the company and took everything with them. Since they are now pushing VGA, they don't want to reverse engineer the CGA product. For our particular application, though, we can only use CGA, EGA or VGA won't cut it. Can anyone point me to a reference which would give the format of a CGA character ROM (I realize it might vary from vendor to vendor) or provide the information directly? As a note: my quess is its just the bitmap of the characters in order, but disassembly is expense, so before we try some quesses, I thought I would ask. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- William Curtiss 407/984-6383 | - Standard disclamers apply - Harris GISD, Melbourne, FL 32902 | Internet: wcurtiss%x102c@ess.harris.com | <-- New address
