We have 30 IBM PS/2 Model 30 computers which are equipped with 2-3.5" disk drives per machine. The machines are used very hard and we are now experiencing problems with the drives. The problem is a follows: When copying files from a disk in one computer to another disk it works fine, but when you take that same disk to another computer, the computer gives an error reading drive error message. Sometimes the whole files get destroyed or if in WordPerfect it gives an error 27 reading disk. The errors seem to be random, but way too many disks are getting destroyed. We tried cleaning the drives with 3M head cleaners (it seemed to help some). We are also in the process of taking all the drives and blowing all the dust out of them (they hav e been used for 3 years and seem to have accumulated a good bit of dust). I think the problem might be the head alignment on the drives. Does anyone know of a program that can be used to test for misalignment on drives. Also, does anyone have any other suggestions for fixing the drives (other than buying new ones). Thanks in advance. TEB106
