[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Microlab: Has anyone bought from them?

cg108fep@icogsci1.ucsd.edu (Dennis Lou) (05/07/90)

I am about to get a 386SX mother board from Microlab in Michigan.
Their prices are cheap and I like the fact that I can put it
on my Discover card.

Has anyone had any problems with them?

Their SX board sells for $329, btw.

I purchased my hard drive and printer from them. They both have been
working great with no troubles. The rep was most helpful in making
sure that I'd have everything neccessary for installation and nothing
extra. I received my equipment the very day they promised.

You posted a price of 329.00 for 386SX system board. Thats a fair price
but you might want to inquire whether or not the board accepts DRAM
memory chips or SIPP modules. If it only accepts SIPP it will cost
you alot more to populate the module than if it took DRAM.
There are suppliers out their that may charge 10.00 - 20.00 more for
the card but will take DRAM.

I've purchased a 286 machine, ST250 hardrive and monitor from
MicroLab. I've had no problem with hardware and their prices are very
competitive.
