My AT&T PC6300 began acting up last night, and I am hoping that someone might be able to give me some insight as to what might be happening. When I run one specific application (Borland's Sprint), I/O is slowed dramatically; text is written to the screen as if I were running across a 300 baud link, and there is a very long delay between when I hit a key and I see a response. Other applications seem to run fine, and Sprint worked fine a month ago (the last time I used it). I've tried removing various device drivers (ramdisks, mouse drivers, etc.) and TSR's, but always get the same result. One obvious possibility is a virus. Are there any that are known to result in this sort of behavior? Any other types of problems that people have seen lead to this type of behavior? Any help you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated... Ron Koestler AT&T Bell Laboratories ...!att!ihlpf!koestler, koestler@ihlpf.att.com
