[comp.sys.ibm.pc] REMAC now at terminator

komarimf@clutx.clarkson.edu (Mark Komarinski,,,) (05/25/90)

REMAC1.ZIP is now at terminator in the /msdos/sound directory. So
all you that were waiting, it's now there. I'm currently looking
for an anonymous ftp site where I can put all the converted sound
files on and as soon as I find one and get it all set up, I'll
put up a posting as to where it all is.

P.S. If anyone knows of sites that have mac sound files, could
you e-mail me? I already have one site that has files, but I'm
looking for more. Thanks in advance.

They are nearer you than you never thought. Terminator have 'em! They
are in atari/sound/samples or something like that. Atari hackers have
just a month or two ago done a similar program and converted some of
Mac sounds to normal binary which can be played by remac1. Enjoy.

Are the macsounds binhexed? All the ftp sites I've found with mac
sounds have the files binhexed (with an .hqx extension). I can unbinhex them
on a mac but it's tedious transferring the sounds from a mac to my 286. Does
anybody know of a program that can unbinhex mac files on an ibm compatible?
