Several if not all of the new HP models (I own an HP-42S) feature infra-red printer "connectors" neatly concealed in the battery compartment. I don't like the quality or the price of the printers sold by HP to go with those calculators. Is there someone out there who sells a box that accepts an HP infrared signal and converts it to RS-232 or parallell? From there it would be easy to do the printout on a PC. If this product does not exist, the idea is hereby put forward. I waive all claims for a patent, just let me no when you're done and I'll buy it. I've had several responses to my inquiry about an infra-red HP => PC connection. What they boil down to is this: A company in California sells black boxes that will do it. Also: You can make one yourself with less than 5$ worth of components. This topic was covered in the conference 'handhelds' some time ago, I was told. I'll mail a copy of the proceedings to anyone interested. Thanks. Kari Hardarson 217 Jackson Circle 27514 Chapel Hill, NC
