NETOPRDO@ncsuvm.ncsu.edu (05/31/90)

I am moving to Taiwan and must sell my computer.
I have a motherboard from Protech, an Extra/30, in my system,
(also called a Protech-286XT). It works great but I am getting a
system crash on some DOS commands. It doesn't crash within software
programs. The error is -
AM Parity checking for segment address. Offending address not
found. Segm7C00 (s) According to RAM TEST (shareware software)
the error is related to the parity chip in the first bank.
I am using the system as is.
This computer system includes:
IBM monochrome monitor
360 K disk drive
extended keyboard
this computer is 3.5 times faster
than the original PC according to a diagnostics program.
