I just ran across an ad for a 386SX system running at 20 MHz. I'm interested in an SX system running at 20 MHz, but not if it is just a 16 MHz processor being pushed at a faster speed than it should be. Are true 20 MHz 386SX chips out now?

Last month in a news release intel announce to the market the INTEL 80386sx. There are only two know manufactures that are using the new 20 MHz sx, they are Compac (R) and DELL (R). The new 20 MHz sx is 4 Mhz faster that the firsts sx's the speed improvement is most percective when reading and writing to memory. More informaion may be obtained from intel or read last month's issue of PC magazine and PC World. Pete Cruz

I was just told by my local computer dealer that he is no longer able to get 20 Mhz 80386 mother boards because Intel has switched production to 20 Mhz 80386SX chips. This is unconfirmed and I don't know if Intel is actually shipping 20 Mhz SX's yet. Bob Angelini
