Hi, First of all, I am sorry if this subject has come up millions of times before, and if you think your reply wont have general interest, feel free to e-mail me :-) A couple of years ago a friend of mine showed me a C compiler called MIX C. He was very impressed by it, especially the debugger, since it only cost some twenty dollars. Yesterday I saw an add from MIX in BYTE, and remembering my friends enthusiasm for the product, I consider buying it for my personal use. The question is, is it really any good ? The add gave the impression of a two year old product since all review quotes were from '88 and no version number were given. Hasn't the program been developing for more than two years ? Other points of interest : Is it ANSI standard or at least a full K&R ? How does the code execution speed and executable size compare with other C compilers ? My friend said it was rather slow when compiling, is this true ? Is the debugger really that good ?? Has it got graphics rutines in the library ? I hope someone has got some answer to me :-), so Cheers, Klaus Henning Sorensen University of Aalborg Denmark
