I am planning on getting a 3.5 inch drive to add to my AT clone. My qestion is which is the best manufacturer. I have heard of: Toshiba Sony TEAC Mitsubishi Fijitsu Most of all I am looking for reliability but I am also concerned about noise and speed. One last thing---I have heard that some drives have a jumper or switch that makes them disable(not care about) the High Density hole so you can use 720K floppies as 1.44M floppies. If you have any information or preferences on which brand of floppy drive you like, please E-Mail me a quick note. Thanks in advance, Dean Wallwey

My freind and I personally like Teac 3.5" drives. I think the Toshibas don't care about the hole in the 1.44 (HD) disks and will let you format 720's as 1.44's.
