[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Problem with diskette on PS/2-60

jal@ee.rochester.edu (John Lefor) (06/04/90)

I am having problems with a low serial number PS/2-60.
The problems seem to be around the floppy diskette drive or
interface. I vaguely remember that there were some known
bugs in the hardware which had similar symptoms. Does anyone
remember any of the details or know how I could track
down if these problems are real.

BTW I have sent this system to "Serviceland" for repair of
this problem, when they got the machine it exhibited no symptoms
so they reseated cables and returned it.

Thanks in advance.

Have your local IBM dealer install a file called DASDDRVR.SYS in
your root directory. It will cure a host of problems associated
with the model 50, 60, and 80.
