I was to purchase some 1 Meg RAM chips and noticed there are some different marks on the seemingly identical chips. One marked with "41000-8" and the other "51000-8". I understand that "1000" means 1 meg and "-8" means 80ns, but what is the meaning of the 4/5 prefix? Can one mix them together on a RAM card or motherboard? Please reply by email since I don't read the net regularly. ndeng@euler.berkeley.edu
