I have been (unsucessfully) trying to format a hard disc on a IBM XT clone using debug. It appears the info given with the disc is incorrect, and causes debug to finish with a 'nothing done exit.' The IBM clone is a Sinclair PC200 The controller card is a Western Digital WDXT-GEN2 PLUS The hard disc is a Seagate ST-251 type 44 40Mb, and I need the following info. Total no. of cylinders. No. of heads. Starting reduced write current cylinder. Write precomp cylinder. Max correctable error burst length. ccb option byte, step rate select. Any help would be gratefully appriciated, Many thanks, Craig. ================================================================== Craig Thompson | Phone: (0272) 799910 x 24174 Hewlett-Packard Labs | crt@hpl.hp.co.uk Bristol | crt@hplb.hpl.hp.com U.K. | ================================================================== Disclaimer: Whats that? ==================================================================
