Three questions related to use of the Sound Blaster Board: Someone mentioned being able to play back MAC sound files on the Sound Blaster, can you tell me: 1. Where to get the software (preferably PD or shareware) to play back these files? 2. Where to get the sound files themselves? (I have a Deluxe Board and can read files off a MAC disk, if someone wants to send me a diskfull.) Finally, someone else mentioned that Sound Blaster .VOC files are available: 3. Where can I get these? Thanks, Andy Dean PG_DEAN@WUMS

Yes, you can definitely play back MAC sound files on a Sound Blaster. Get a
Mac sound file and then run the VOC-HDR.EXE program that comes with the
SoundBlaster. This will add the header to the Sound file so you can use it.
When it asks for data type, say 8-bit. Sampling rate is varies, but I've found
most to be either 11k/sec or 22k/sec.
There's around 7 Megs of sound files available for Anonymous FTP at
sumex-aim.stanford.edu (I think that's the correct address). You will have to
binhex them first and then unSIT most of them before xfering them to a PC.
Took me and a friend almost 6 hours tying 2 Macs and 2 PS/2's converting
everything.
Good luck!
