Does anyone know how someone would go about starting a news group,who to contact,the costs(if any) I know someone who would like to start one, it would mainly compare software packages and give software solutions.

A while back, there was a posting regarding the split up of comp.sys.ibm.pc into a number of different news groups. Our local systems people don't seem to know anything about this, and I can't find these postings (since deleted on our system). Could someone let me know (a) what's happening to this newsgroup (will comp.sys.ibm.pc continue to exist?) and (b) what new newsgroups are being or have been created (and if so, as of what date?)?
