If someone out there has TAR for MS-DOS, I would greatly appreciate it if you could send me a copy. Please confirm with me before sending. Thanks, Ben Armstrong. -- Dymaxion Research UUCP: {uunet, utai, watmath} !dalcs!iisat!dymaxion ----------------------------------------

[ TAR for MS-DOS ] I would like too have that too. My DOSCP utilities are dreadfully slow. Anyone? Mail first. Richard

John Gilmore's PDTAR will work under MS-DOS. I'd feel confident about taring with files, but g_d only knows about doing it with disks and tapes on a pc. PDTAR can be found in the comp.sources archives, or I guess I could email it to a few people. -- @disclaimer(Any concepts or opinions above are entirely mine, not those of my employer, my GIGI, or my 11/34) beak is beak is not Anthony A. Seems to me that, a few months back, I saw references to a version of tar,*RO running on MS-DOS, which could read Xenix tar floppies. Of course, I didn't need it then, and now I do. Can anyone point me to the location of this program, if it exists? Anon uucp preferred. Please reply by email. Anyone else interested, please write and I'll forward what I learn.
