I just joined this newsgroup, but I saw some mention of the Soundblaster card. I would like to know how good the card is. I have heard the Adlib card, and although it was obviously much better than the PC speaker it wasn't very impressive. Is the Soundblaster much better than the Adlib? HOw does it compare to, say, the Amiga's sound, and does it have that tinny "organ" sound to it that the Adlib does? Does it use "real" stereo or simulated? And how well does the digitizer it comes with work? Lastly, if anyone knows the answer to this, I notice that Windows 3.0 has a sound driver. Is there hope of a driver coming out for the Adlib or Soundblaster cards? I know MS planned to use Windows as their multimedia platform and that would fit in. Thanks.
