[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Needed: Well behaved IBM 3101 Emulator

robert@hutch.uucp (Robert L. Oliver) (07/18/90)

I need an IBM 3101 asynchronous terminal emulator for MS-DOS that is
"well behavied." I.e., it must perform I/O though the BIOS rather than
going directly to the screen hardware/adapter.

I have found that ProcommPLUS, even with NOSNOW set is ill-behaved.

Further, the original Procomm program, even with BIOS set is ill-behaved,
but ONLY SLIGHTLY: it is completely well behaved except for SOME instances
where it will directly position the cursor when a cursor positioning sequence
is received from the host. For the most part it goes through the BIOS (though
some of the help screens and menus are exceptions), even for some cursor
positioning. But other times, it goes straight to hardware.

Anyone know of a good IBM 3101 emulator that is completely well behaved?
Please send me email rather than post (or do both). Thanks.
