Thanks in advance. I assume you are running these programs only one at a time. In that case, you cannot use extended memory unless the program supports the use of extended memory. Many programs support the use of EXPANDED memory. With a 386, you can use a expanded memory emulator that convert your extended memory to expanded memory. Many of these emulators also allow you to reloacte TSRs to expanded and/or extended memory which frees up some more of your 640KB base memory for those programs that use only base memory.
