[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Ethernet board performance with TCP/IP on PC?

login@cbnewsd.att.com (h.reza.zarafshar) (07/31/90)

I am looking for a very high performance ethernet board that would go into
a 386/PC running AT&T UNIX/386 or some flavor there of. I will be using
TCP/IP. I can use either dumb or inteligent boards. So far, I have not
found a good combination. While the ones I have tried work, they do lack
performance. If any one has tried a successful and high performance combination,
I would appreicate it if you could tell me about your experience.

Also, I have heard of this company called FTP supposedly located in Boston
that sells TCP/IP drivers for UNIX. Does anyone know of them? Has anyone
tried their product?

Since I don't normally read these newsgroups, I would appreciate it if you
would reply via e-mail to:

I have used their PC DOS products, they work but the docs are pretty thin.
The company is on the net as ftp.com.
