Hi, I have a friend who bought an ibm pc xt compatible. Some time after she bought it, she had to have the hard disk repaired. At that time the shop which repaired the disk took out the printer board for some reason -- in fact we had to go back a few times to get all the pieces back: board, adaptor and cord to connect back to the printer. But now the printer doesn't work. It's a thermal printer (ugh -- but it's all she has for now). My problem is that the manual for the printer is missing the last page which might have shown dip switch settings for the printer board, and I don't want to figure this one out the hard way. I guess it's probably a serial printer. Anyone know standard settings for such a beast? Unfortunately I don't have the manual here in front of me for the printer model #; the people at the disk shop thought it came from a PCjr. Thank you in advance. -- My opinions are my own -- in particular, I do not speak for INGRES Inc. Linda Mundy {ucbvax, decvax}!mtxinu!rtech!linda
